Job summary

A leading engineering firm located in Jacksonville, Florida is seeking a Civil Engineer to perform design, produce construction plans, and support various infrastructure projects. The ideal candidate holds a Bachelor's degree in Civil Engineering, possesses EIT certification or has completed the FE Exam, and has 1 year of experience in a civil engineering environment. Qualifications

• Minimum 1 year of professional experience in a civil engineering environment (preferred).
• Experience with Autodesk Civil 3D, Excel, Word, and ArcGIS preferred.

Responsibilities

• Perform engineering design including analysis and drafting.

Job description

* Perform engineering design including analysis, calculations, layout, and drafting of details* Prepare and produce construction plans and modify specifications* Develop engineering estimates and quantities for construction* Coordinate and communicate field construction activities with clients, contractors, and project team members* Collaborate with design teams across local and national offices* Support civil sitework, roads, utilities, drainage, and infrastructure projects from concept through construction administration* Other duties as assigned* Experience with Autodesk Civil 3D, Excel, Word, and ArcGIS (preferred)* Strong written and oral communication skills* Ability to communicate complex technical concepts visually and in writing* Interest in diverse assignments and innovative design technologies* Ability to work independently and collaboratively to solve problems and learn new skills* Bachelor’s degree in Civil Engineering* Engineer in Training (EIT) certification or successful completion of the FE Exam prior to hire* Minimum 1 year of professional experience in a civil engineering environment (preferred)
