Job summary

DDG is seeking a Civil CAD Designer to join our team in Houston. The CAD Designer will be responsible for efficiently producing site civil engineering and/or land development design plans, reporting to the Civil Design Manager or Project Manager, and collaborating with civil engineers and CAD staff.

The role requires knowledge of CAD standards and delivering quality drawing packages for construction. Responsibilities include developing drainage, grading, water and sewer plans, preparing design

Qualifications

Technical Certificate or Associate’s Degree in CAD is required.
Minimum 5 years of civil drafting experience.
Experience with site development, drainage, utilities, grading.
Proficient with AutoCAD Civil 3D and Autodesk tools.
Ability to travel to project sites up to 30%.

Responsibilities

Develop civil designs and site plans including drainage and grading.
Produce plan-profile drawings for public infrastructure improvements.
Prepare drainage and cut/fill calculations.
Ensure drawings meet CAD standards and project goals.
Travel up to 30% weekly.
