Job summary

Olsson seeks a Civil Design Manager to lead QA/QC and provide senior design review for multidisciplinary teams on site design projects. You will direct staff on technical aspects, coordinate with disciplines, and ensure high-quality deliverables.

Occasional travel to job sites may be required, and flexible work options include remote or hybrid arrangements. You will strengthen design expertise, manage medium-sized projects, and collaborate with clients to resolve technical issues while promoting

Qualifications

• Strong communication skills.
• Ability to contribute and work well on a team.
• Associate Degree in Drafting.
• 10 years of CAD software experience (AutoCAD Civil 3D).
• Project management skills for medium-sized projects.

Responsibilities

• Directs and manages staff on technical aspects of projects including coordination with all disciplines involved on projects.
• Plans and oversees the quality review process of project deliverables.
• Provides a consultative resource to clients for project resolution.
• Strengthens and further develops subject matter expertise in certain design areas.
• Provides senior-level design review for various projects on the team and acts as a resource for technical issues.
• May assist in the preparation of project studies by completing drawings, sketching, or acquiring data.
• Promotes efficiencies in producing quality work.
• Supervises and reviews assignments of less experienced staff.
