Job summary

Bohler's Manhattan, NY office is seeking a Civil Design Engineer (Land Development) to grow within a collaborative team shaping New York City's land development projects. You will support site design from concept to completion, working with engineers, project managers, and clients to create practical, buildable solutions.

The ideal candidate holds a Bachelor's in Civil Engineering, 2+ years of site design across residential/commercial/industrial sectors, and familiarity with AutoCAD Civil 3D.

Qualifications

• Bachelor’s degree in Civil Engineering or a related discipline.
• 2+ years of site design experience across residential and/or commercial or industrial projects
• Familiarity with AutoCAD Civil 3D and basic engineering design principles
• Attention to detail and curiosity to learn new tools and methods
• Effective communication, teamwork, and problem‑solving skills

Responsibilities

• Assist in the preparation of site layout, grading, utility, and stormwater management plans
• Conduct research, prepare reports, and support due diligence investigations
• Collaborate with project managers, engineers, and other team members to deliver coordinated design packages
• Perform design calculations and drafting using AutoCAD Civil 3D
• Support permitting efforts with local and state agencies
• Contribute ideas and enthusiasm to help solve engineering challenges
