Job summary

ERG is seeking a Civil Engineer to support planning, design, and execution of facility and infrastructure projects in the Washington, DC area. This full-time role requires on-site meetings in the DC metro region, with interactions across ERG personnel in Arlington, VA and Indian Head, MD.

The engineer will work with engineers, architects, and project managers to deliver compliant design solutions through construction and completion.

Qualifications

• Bachelor's or Master’s degree in Civil Engineering required.
• Experience developing or reviewing engineering drawings, specifications, calculations, and technical reports.
• Familiarity with civil/site design principles including grading, drainage, stormwater, utilities, and site development.
• Experience with AutoCAD and/or Civil 3D.
• Strong written and verbal communication skills.
• Strong attention to detail and ability to manage multiple assignments.
• Must hold or be able to obtain DoD secret clearance.
• Must be a U.S. citizen.

Responsibilities

• Support the planning, design, and engineering of facility and site improvement projects.
• Develop and review civil engineering plans, specifications, calculations, and technical documents.
• Assist with the design of site layouts, grading, drainage, stormwater management, utilities, paving, and other civil infrastructure.
• Prepare engineering calculations, cost estimates, technical reports, and design documentation.
• Review contractor submittals, design documents, and construction plans for compliance with project requirements.
• Assist with evaluating existing facilities and developing recommendations for repairs, renovations, upgrades, and modernization.
