Job summary

Mortenson Construction is seeking a Laborer to support material handling, assemble and dismantle equipment, prepare work areas, and clean machines and spaces. You will handle tools, assist with concrete tasks, and maintain safe, efficient work sites across projects.

The role requires physical effort, ability to work in a team, and flexibility to travel per project needs. Visa sponsorship is not offered and on-site work is expected.

Qualifications

• Experience in construction preferred.
• Ability to work with tools and equipment such as power and non-powered hand tools, vibrators, pumps, drills, and jackhammers; forklifts, skid loaders, and power buggies.
• Strong teamwork orientation; positive attitude and professional customer service skills; detail orientation; active listening skills and effective communication, including an openness to diverse input and feedback.
• Repetitive hand, arm, leg movements.
• Lifting, carrying, pushing, pulling: up to 50 lbs.
• Duties may change without notice.

Responsibilities

• Erect and dismantle scaffolding (5x7x16) and staging.
• Level ground for scaffolding.
• Tend motor and grout: lift, unload, move, set, and shovel between wheelbarrows and buckets.
• General cleanup and clearing of debris, including sweeping, cleaning, washing, and loading or burning of debris.
• Place, push, pull, and shovel concrete.
• Vibrate concrete.
• Travel per project needs and requirements.
• All other duties as assigned.

SUMMARY
