Job summary

Ames Construction is seeking a seasoned field supervisor in Charlotte, NC to lead highway heavy civil crews on critical infrastructure projects. You will ensure safety, maintain schedules, and coordinate with engineers, clients, and suppliers.

The role requires 10+ years as a foreman or supervisor in highway civil construction, a proven track record of managing crews of 20+, and strong cost and scheduling discipline.

Qualifications

• Five plus years of supervisory experience in civil construction.
• Extensive knowledge of highway heavy civil construction.
• Strong cost management, planning and scheduling skills.
• Experience leading crews of 20+ personnel.
• Excellent written and oral communication abilities.

Responsibilities

• Instill safety as a top priority.
• Hire, train and develop craft personnel.
• Coordinate with Crews, Project Engineers, Safety Managers and Clients.
• Monitor schedules and coordinate with subcontractors and suppliers.
• Ensure work complies with drawings, specs and contract requirements.
• Assist in developing work plans, manpower, quantities, schedules, and equipment needs.
• Monitor budgets and cost control measures.
