Job summary

gpac is seeking an experienced Civil Construction Superintendent in the Sanford, NC area to lead heavy civil projects, oversee utilities installations, and ensure safety and quality on large commercial worksites.

The role emphasizes independent site management, blueprint interpretation, and coordination with subcontractors, with a strong focus on budgets and project profitability.

Qualifications

• 10+ years of experience in heavy civil construction.
• Background in water, sewer, utilities, and/or sitework.
• Proven leadership and team management skills.
• Strong safety-focused mindset with a commitment to maintaining a safe job site.
• Understanding of project profitability, budgets, and cost control.
• Ability to independently manage and run a job site from start to finish.
• Strong ability to read and interpret construction plans, blueprints, and specifications.
