Job summary

Urban Infraconstruction is seeking an Assistant Superintendent to join the Water Resources Department. The role involves supporting daily construction operations, coordinating field crews and equipment, and ensuring safety and quality standards on water treatment plant projects.

You will oversee mechanical piping system installations, process piping, valves, and pumps, and assist with planning, procurement, and project execution in a fast-paced environment.

Qualifications

• Experience on water or wastewater treatment plant construction is required.
• Strong background with mechanical piping systems and fabricated pipe installation.
• Experience with process piping, valves, pumps and treatment plant equipment installation.
• Ability to coordinate multiple crews and subcontractors in a fast-paced construction environment.
• Valid driver''s license and ability to travel to project sites as needed.

Responsibilities

• Assist the Superintendent in managing daily construction operations on water and wastewater treatment plant projects.
• Coordinate and oversee field crews, subcontractors, vendors, and equipment to ensure work is completed safely, efficiently, and according to schedule.
• Support the installation of mechanical piping systems, fabricated pipe, process piping, valves, pumps, and treatment plant equipment.
• Monitor project progress and assist with short-term and long-term planning activities.
• Ensure work is performed in accordance with project plans, specifications, quality standards, and safety requirements.
• Conduct daily safety meetings and enforce company safety policies and OSHA regulations.
• Identify and resolve field issues while maintaining project productivity and schedule commitments.
• Assist with material procurement, deliveries, inventory tracking, and equipment management.
• Collaborate with Project Managers, Project Engineers, owners, and inspectors to ensure successful project execution.
