Job summary

Cardinal Civil Contracting, part of Cardinal Infrastructure Group, seeks an experienced Project Manager to lead civil construction projects from pre-construction through closeout in the Carolinas and nearby markets.

You will plan, coordinate, budget, and schedule projects spanning residential, commercial, industrial, and public works, ensuring safety and on-time delivery within budget. Strong leadership and communication skills required.

Qualifications

• 3+ years of project management experience in civil construction.
• Strong understanding of construction methods, scheduling, and cost control.
• Ability to read and interpret construction drawings and specifications.
• Working knowledge of job costing, change orders, pay apps, and cost-to-complete forecasting.
• Proficiency with project management software (AGTEK, Bid2Win, HCSS HeavyJob/HeavyBid; Microsoft 365).

Responsibilities

• Lead civil construction projects from pre-construction through closeout, managing all phases.
• Coordinate across divisions with superintendents to ensure alignment on plans and schedules.
• Develop and maintain project schedules; track progress and report to management/clients.
• Identify risks, resolve issues, and implement mitigation strategies.
• Prepare monthly pay applications and owner billings; review job cost and WIP reports.
