Job summary

Kiewit in Mobile, AL is seeking a Lead construction supervisor to manage crew daily activities and production per project plans and specs. You will train on safety and procedures and supervise other crafts as needed.

Responsibilities include coordinating people, equipment, and materials; maintaining safety and quality; preparing weekly schedules; and ensuring on-time completion within budget while upholding Kiewit's safety culture.

Qualifications

• High school diploma or equivalent with relevant field experience.
• Ability to demonstrate knowledge to supervise craft workers.
• Ability to plan tasks to safely complete work and train safety practices.
• Knowledge of scheduling, material control, and manhour performance basics.
• Ability to understand and transmit written and oral instructions clearly.
• Strong communication, motivation, and teamwork skills.

Responsibilities

• Plan, coordinate and organize people, equipment and materials for safe, efficient construction.
• Ensure equipment is operated and maintained correctly.
• Maintain accurate reporting records (quantities, productivity, time sheets, reports).
• May assist in developing a weekly schedule and sequence of activities.
• Complete work within estimated costs while maintaining quality.
• Ensure crew safety and enforce safety rules.
• Lead toolbox meetings and communicate safety concerns and plans.
• Monitor compliance with company policies.
