Job summary

Kiewit Texas seeks a Lead Construction Supervisor to plan, coordinate and organize people, equipment, tools and materials to deliver safe, efficient and on-time construction according to project plans and standards. You will supervise crews, collaborate with trades, and ensure adherence to safety rules while maintaining quality workmanship on site.

You’ll monitor daily progress, prepare reports on productivity and time sheets, and assist in weekly scheduling.

Qualifications

• High school diploma or equivalent is required.
• Ability to demonstrate knowledge to perform all essential functions of craft workers under supervision.
• Ability to plan tasks safely and efficiently and teach safety practices.
• Knowledge of scheduling, material control and cost management systems.
• Ability to understand and transmit written and oral instructions and communicate with craft workers and management.
• Must be a good communicator, motivator and team player.

Responsibilities

• Plan, coordinate and organize people, equipment, tools and materials to promote safe, efficient and timely construction.
• Ensure construction equipment is correctly operated and maintained.
• Maintain accurate reporting records including job quantities, productivity rates, time sheets and daily management reports.
• Assist in developing a weekly schedule and carry out sequence of activities for assigned crew.
• Ensure timely completion of work within estimated costs while maintaining quality workmanship.
• Uphold safety by conducting toolbox talks and communicating safety concerns, work scope, plans and schedules to crews.
• Monitor compliance with all Company policies by all employees under supervision.
