Job description

Savin Engineers is seeking a Civil Construction Inspector for the LaGuardia Airport construction project. Primary inspection duties include building concrete work, civil site work, paving, drainage systems, hydrant fuel systems, and structural elements.

Requirements:

1. Ability to communicate both orally and in writing.
2. Ability to read and interpret plans and specifications, and to prepare written reports.
3. Identify potential extra work issues and keep the Engineer advised.
4. Bachelor's Degree in Civil or Structural Engineering.
5. At least 4 years of experience inspecting construction work.
6. Valid driver's license and ability to obtain SWAC and LGA SIDA clearance.
7. OSHA 30-hour construction safety certification.
8. ACI Construction Inspector and Work Zone Safety Certifications are desirable.
