Job summary

Takco Construction is seeking an Estimator/Project Manager in Alabama with experience in Sitework, Roadway, or Utilities to lead bidding and project execution. The role oversees estimates, schedules, subcontract management, and budget adherence for projects requiring coordination across offices and field teams.

Extensive travel is required; the candidate will collaborate with estimators, engineers, and site supervision to ensure accurate bids and successful project delivery.

Qualifications

• Minimum 5 years of project experience in Sitework, Roadway, or Utilities.
• Excellent team-building and leadership abilities.
• Strong prioritization and organizational skills; detail-oriented.
• Excellent verbal and written communication skills.

Responsibilities

• Prepare estimates for project bids and proposals using Estimating Software.
• Review specifications and drawings to determine scope and content of estimates.
• Create and maintain project schedules to meet milestones.
• Establish vendors and subcontractors; oversee subcontract management.
• Oversee safety, quality, and budget across projects.
• Direct and supervise project administration, superintendents and engineers.
• Manage project resources and documentation to deliver on time and within budget.
