Qualifications

• U.S. Citizenship is required for federal projects.
• Bachelor’s degree in Civil Engineering is required; Construction Management is a preferred alternative.
• 1+ years in heavy civil construction preferred; strong academics acceptable for entry-level.
• Strong organizational and problem-solving skills with the ability to manage multiple responsibilities.
• Excellent communication and a team-oriented mindset.
• Ability to pass State & Federal reviews to access military bases and federal facilities.
• Civil Engineer license or progress toward licensure is a plus.

Southern Contracting is seeking a motivated Civil Construction Assistant Project Manager to support the successful delivery of heavy civil construction projects. In this role, you'll work closely with Project Managers and Superintendents to ensure smooth project execution-from reviewing plans and submittals to coordinating schedules, vendors, and subcontractors.
