Job summary

Austin is seeking a Civil Carpenter for our Borger, TX project. You will construct, erect, install, and repair structures using wood, plywood, and wallboard, reading blueprints, and following safety rules.

Responsibilities include reading specs, shaping materials, erecting forms, repairing components, and maintaining a clean site. 3–5 years journeyman experience required; valid driver's license preferred.

Qualifications

• 3–5 years of journeyman level experience.
• Must have knowledge of structural design and the ability to read blueprints.
• Knowledge of construction trades, practices, procedures, techniques, tools and equipment.

Responsibilities

• Study specifications in blueprints, sketches or building plans to prepare project layout and determine dimensions and materials required.
• Shape or cut materials to specified measurements using hand tools, machines or power saws.
• Follow established safety rules and maintain a safe and clean environment.
• Erect and destruct concrete forms, scaffolding and ramps above ground level.
• Remove damaged parts or sections of structures and repair or replace using hand tools.
• Maintain records and present progress reports.
• Verify trueness of structure, set grade and check for plumb.
• Mix, transfer and extend materials such as concrete and asphalt.
• Fabricate and install concrete reinforcing bars.
• Place and finish concrete.
• Maintain clean job site and secure it daily.
• Other duties as assigned.
