Forgen in Denton, TX seeks a CAD Technician to prepare drawings and plans for civil construction, environmental remediation, demolition, and geotechnical projects. You will interpret plans, use CAD software (AutoCAD Civil 3D, Agtek), and create take-offs and 3D cross-sections for submissions.

The role requires a Bachelor’s degree in CAD Technology or related field and 1–3 years of CAD experience, with strong Microsoft Office skills and the ability to work with project teams onsite.

Qualifications

• Bachelor’s degree in CAD Technology, drafting, or a related field.
• 1–3 years of experience as a CAD Technician in the engineering or construction industry.
• Experience with CAD drawing systems, such as AutoCAD Civil 3D.
• Valid Driver’s License and ability to drive on behalf of company business.

Responsibilities

• Draft plans and detailed drawings for Civil Construction, Environmental Remediation, Demolition, and Geotechnical Construction.
• Interpret engineering plan sets and notes to produce drawings using CAD (AutoCAD Civil 3D, Agtek).
• Incorporate data from surveys and reports to prepare drawings.
• Prepare As-Built documentation and quantity take-offs from designs.
