Job summary

Forgen in Denton, TX is seeking a CAD Technician to prepare drawings for civil construction, environmental remediation, demolition and geotechnical projects. You will interpret engineering plans, produce CAD drawings using AutoCAD Civil 3D and related tools, and incorporate field data.

You will support estimators and project managers by calculating quantities, creating take-offs, and generating documentation.

Qualifications

Bachelor’s degree in CAD Technology, drafting, or a related field.
1–3 years of experience as a CAD Technician in engineering or construction.
Experience with CAD drawing systems, such as AutoCAD Civil 3D.
Valid Driver’s License and ability to drive on behalf of company business.

Responsibilities

Draft plans and drawings for civil construction, environmental remediation, demolition, and geotechnical projects.
Interpret PDFs, rough sketches, or notes to produce CAD drawings using AutoCAD Civil 3D and related tools.
Incorporate data from surveys and reports to prepare drawings.
Calculate volumes, weights, and take-offs for earthwork and construction.
Prepare As-Built documentation and assist with field design changes as needed.
