Job summary

DDG is seeking a Civil CAD Designer in Houston to join our team. You will produce site civil engineering and land development designs, including drainage, grading, water and wastewater plans, and related drawings for industrial, commercial, and residential sites.

You will collaborate with civil engineers, CAD designers, and technicians under the Design/Project Manager; prior AutoCAD Civil 3D proficiency is essential. Travel up to 30% to project sites is expected.

Qualifications

• Requires technical certificate or associate degree in CAD or related field.
• Experience in commercial land development, including site improvements, drainage, utilities, and grading.

Responsibilities

• Develop site civil engineering and land development design plans (drainage, grading, water, wastewater, signage).
• Plot maps with topographic contours, elevations, profiles and cross-sections; produce plan-profile drawings for public infra.
• Prepare drainage and cut/fill calculations.
• Visualize geographic representations for land development projects.
• Work within project budget as directed by a Manager.
• Follow DDG CAD standards and ensure accuracy of documents.
• Ensure drawings meet production goals.
• Travel up to 30% of the week; perform other duties as assigned.
