Job summary

Langan Engineering & Environmental Services is seeking a Civil CAD Designer to join our collaborative team across Milwaukee, WI; Cleveland, OH; and Pittsburgh, PA. You will support planning and design of civil land development projects with a focus on AutoCAD and Civil 3D proficiency.

The ideal candidate has 1+ year of site/civil design experience, strong communication, and the ability to work both independently and in a team environment.

Qualifications

• Associate degree or equivalent in Engineering Sciences or related field.
• Enrollment in a bachelor’s program in Civil Engineering is acceptable.
• AutoCAD/Civil 3D training or hands-on experience required.
• Strong written and verbal communication skills essential.
• Experience in site/civil design and familiarity with land use permitting.
• 1+ years of relevant design experience preferred.
• Ability to work independently and in a team; valid driver’s license.

Responsibilities

• Assist planning and design of civil engineering land development projects.
• Prepare planning documents using AutoCAD, Civil 3D and related tools.
• Conduct zoning and feasibility assessments for development projects.
• Perform field inspection services as needed.
• Draft reports including feasibility studies and stormwater reports.
• Collaborate with Project Engineers and clients to deliver designs.
• Other duties as required by the supervisor.
