Job summary

Langan Engineering & Environmental Services is seeking a Civil CAD Designer to join a collaborative team in Milwaukee, WI; Cleveland, OH; and Pittsburgh, PA. You will assist in planning and designing civil engineering land development projects with a passionate, collaborative team across multiple market sectors.

The role emphasizes technical design using AutoCAD and Civil 3D, strong communication, and the ability to work both independently and with others. Travel to project sites may be required.

Qualifications

• Excellent written and verbal communication skills.
• Ability to work independently and in a team environment.
• Familiarity with local, state, and federal land use permitting.

Responsibilities

• Use reports, maps, drawings, plans, tests, and aerial photos to assess soil, terrain, hydrological, and geologic data for planning and design.
• Prepare planning and design documents with Project Engineers using AutoCAD and Civil 3D.
• Perform zoning and feasibility assessments for development projects.
• Conduct field inspections as needed.
• Write/review draft reports including feasibility studies and stormwater management reports.
• Interact professionally with client and subcontractor representatives.
