Job summary

Dormont Manufacturing Co. is seeking an experienced design and drafting professional to support land development, civil engineering design, and environmental permitting projects in New York.

You will produce high-quality deliverables, learn new technical practices, and build confidence with clients, regulators, and internal teams. Requirements include 5–10 years in site/civil engineering design with AutoCAD/Civil 3D, strong communication, and proficiency in 3D surfaces, alignments, and road

Qualifications

• Associate or bachelor’s degree in drafting and design is preferred but not required.
• Approximately 5-10 years of site/civil engineering design with related AutoCAD/Civil 3D experience.
• Proficiency with AutoCAD/Civil 3D (standard drafting techniques, terminology and applications).
• Proficiency with developing 3D surfaces, alignments, plan/profile drawings, road templates, and cut/fill quantities.
• Land Development and GIS experience preferred.
• Mining, energy, and oil & gas project experience is a plus.
• Survey/field experience is a plus (import survey points into CAD, prepare base mapping).
• Strong verbal and written communication skills are a must.
• Solid skills in planning and scheduling, organization, problem solving and decision-making.

Your Knowledge, Skills and Experience will include:
