Job summary

HDR is seeking a Civil BIM (Digital Delivery) Coordinator in the United States to manage digital model environments and deliverables across multi-discipline projects. You will work with Digital Delivery Leads to execute the Digital Delivery Plan and establish server infrastructure and project scope deliverables.

You will ensure model health, coordinate with teams, and support the production staff through the project lifecycle, while maintaining HDR standards and client communications.

Qualifications

• Technical degree or combination of education and related industry experience.
• Minimum of 5 years digital design (BIM element authoring) experience.
• Comprehensive understanding of discipline relations and building systems.
• Advanced skillset of 3D design software and document management infrastructure.
• Advanced skillset of 3D Coordination tools.
• Advanced skillset of Microsoft Office products and communication tools.
• Familiar with industry standards and discipline codes and specifications.
• Familiar with basic automation and programming applications for efficiencies.
• Familiar with 3D design software add-ins and supporting applications.
• Familiar with content creation and management concepts.
• Superior client service, communication, and presentation skills.
• Demonstrate strong analytical and problem-solving skills to effectively serve as a first line of technical support

Responsibilities

• Managing the digital model environment and deliverables for an entire project.
• Understand how disciplines interact and how construction documents are produced.
• Collaborate with Digital Delivery Leads to execute digital deliverables per the DDP.
• Initiate projects by establishing server infrastructure, models, and deliverables.
• Execute digital deliverables and support production team throughout the project.
• Provide technical support and communicate the deliverable schedule to the team.
• Monitor model health and coordination processes from planning to construction docs.
• Assist with development and maintenance of the Digital Delivery Plan (DDP).
• Establish or maintain the document management system and multi-discipline server infra.
• Ensure the team has software, access, and training to meet project requirements.
• Generate and maintain model setup including information, coordinates, views, and sheets.
• Monitor and maintain HDR standards and model health.
• Lead Digital Delivery coordination meetings for design reviews and 3D coordination.
• Coordinate and compile all digital deliverables and exchange processes at milestones.
• Archive project at submittals and closeout.
• Engage in effective communication with HDR management, production staff, and clients.

Job description

In the role of a Civil BIM (Digital Delivery) Coordinator, we'll count on you to:

• Managing the digital model environment and deliverables for an entire project
• Have an understanding of how all disciplines interact and how construction documents are produced
• Work directly with more advanced Digital Delivery Leads to execute the digital deliverables outlined in the Digital Delivery Plan (DDP)
• Begin the project initiation procedure, establishing the server infrastructure, discipline models, and digital deliverables outlined in the project scope
• Execute the digital deliverables and support the production team throughout the project duration
• Provide technical support, while communicating the deliverable schedule to the project team
• Maintain quality, this individual will monitor the model health and coordination processes of the project, from the planning phase thru issue of construction documents
• Assist with the development and maintenance of the Digital Delivery Plan (DDP)
• Establish the document management system and maintain the server infrastructure for multi-discipline projects
• Ensure the team has the appropriate software, versions, access, and training needed to execute the project requirements
• Generate and maintain model setup including project information, coordinates, scales, orientations, scope boundaries, match-lines, views, sheets, and general models, to accommodate the disciplines and project requirements
• Monitor and maintain company standards and model health
• Host Digital Delivery coordination meetings with the project team to ensure optimal quality control through Design Reviews and 3D Coordination processes
• Communicate, coordinate, and compile all project digital deliverables and exchange process at predetermined milestones
• Project archiving at submittals and closeout
• Engage in close and effective communication and presentations with HDR management, production staff, and clients
