Job summary

Ring & DuChateau in Brookfield, WI seeks a Civil 3D Technician/Designer to support our Civil/Utilities Department and expand site development, redevelopment, and utility infrastructure projects.

You will work with engineers and project managers to create coordinated CAD drawings and models, develop Civil 3D surfaces and layouts, and help establish CAD standards and workflows for the growing team.

Qualifications

• Degree in civil engineering technology or CAD drafting or equivalent training/experience.
• Two+ years of experience using AutoCAD Civil 3D for civil design.
• Proficiency with AutoCAD Civil 3D and understanding of civil drawing production.
• Ability to read and interpret civil site plans, survey drawings, and markups.
• Strong attention to detail, organization, and ability to meet deadlines.
• Ability to work independently and collaborate with project teams.

Responsibilities

• Prepare and revise civil drawings and construction plans using AutoCAD Civil 3D.
• Develop 2D drawings and 3D models for site layout, grading, drainage, and utilities.
• Create and update Civil 3D surfaces, alignments, profiles, and utility layouts.
• Coordinate drawings with engineers, project managers, and other disciplines.
• Incorporate revisions and QA/QC; check drawings for accuracy and standards compliance.
• Develop and maintain CAD blocks, details, templates, and Civil 3D standards.
• Maintain organized drawing files, references, and project documentation.
• Communicate progress and coordinate needs to meet schedules and budgets.
