Confidential Employer in Albuquerque, NM is seeking a Civil 3D design lead to lead a CAD team on civil engineering and land development projects. This is a full-time, on-site role with a salary range of $85,000–$105,000 per year, depending on experience.

You will own CAD standards, templates, workflows, QA/QC, production quality, and mentor CAD staff. Coordinate schedules and collaborate with engineers to deliver high-quality plans for land development, grading, drainage, and roadways.

Qualifications

• 5+ years of hands-on Autodesk Civil 3D experience in civil engineering, land development, or site design.
• Independent preparation of high-quality civil construction drawings and plan sets.
• Experience mentoring, training, or guiding CAD technicians and designers.
• Working knowledge of CAD standards, drafting procedures, and QA/QC processes.
• Strong communication, organization, and problem-solving skills.
• CAD leadership or civil engineering consulting experience is a plus.
• Familiarity with New Mexico engineering and municipal standards is a plus.

Responsibilities

• Lead, mentor, and support our Civil 3D design and drafting team.
• Develop and improve CAD standards, templates, workflows, and quality control procedures.
• Produce detailed civil engineering plans for land development, grading, drainage, and roadway projects.
• Review drawings and plan sets to ensure accuracy, consistency, and quality.
• Coordinate project schedules, CAD workloads, and production deadlines.
• Collaborate with engineers and project managers to solve design challenges and deliver exceptional results.
• Train CAD staff, share technical expertise, and help improve department efficiency.
