Job summary

Dynamic Engineering Consultants, PC is seeking a Senior CAD Designer I to lead CAD production, design coordination, and standards compliance on land development projects. You will guide a team, ensure quality deliverables, and drive process improvements across offices.

The role requires Land Development Design experience, Civil 3D/AutoCAD proficiency, and the ability to mentor other CAD users while coordinating with Engineers and Project Managers. Local NJ presence preferred.

Qualifications

• Associate degree in Engineering Technology, CAD, or related field preferred.
• Land Development Design experience required.
• Knowledge of Civil 3D and AutoCAD essential.
• Excellent attention to detail and ability to work with minimal supervision.
• Ability to mentor CAD users and coordinate with engineers and PMs.

Responsibilities

• Lead drawing quality for Land Development, Zoning, Concept Plans and Exhibits.
• Utilize multiple software applications for Land Development Plans.
• Perform grading designs, surface modeling, and topographic analysis.
• Apply municipal design standards for layouts and guidelines.
• Review earthwork analyses and resolve discrepancies with team.
• Coordinate files and sharing with outside agencies.
• CAD coordination between Engineers, CAD Designers, and Project Managers.
• Ensure drawings meet scope, schedule, budget, and regulatory requirements.
• Drive project workflow with milestones and timelines.
• Maintain drawing file organization per company standards and archiving.
• Perform progressive plan checks and QA/QC prior to submission.
• Establish and enforce CAD standards, workflows, and guides.
• Mentor CAD users alongside CAD Management as a technical resource.
• Encourage automation and innovation for CAD users.
• Embrace new technologies and spearhead CAD innovation.
• Assist cross-office work sharing while owning final product.
• Perform other duties as assigned.
