Job summary

Orion Placement in Albuquerque, NM is seeking a civil CAD drafter to join our established civil engineering team. This on-site role focuses on drafting and updating construction plan sets for land development and site design projects, using AutoCAD and Civil 3D.

Candidates should have 1+ years of civil CAD drafting or design experience and be able to work full-time on-site in Albuquerque. A PE license is not required, but strong attention to detail and teamwork are essential.

Qualifications

• 1+ years of civil CAD drafting or design experience.
• Experience using AutoCAD or Civil 3D for engineering drawings is highly preferred.
• Familiarity with civil site plans, grading, drainage, utilities, or roadway design is a plus.

Responsibilities

• Prepare and update civil engineering drawings and construction plan sets for land development and site design projects.
• Assist with site layouts, grading plans, drainage systems, utility layouts, and roadway drawings.
• Use AutoCAD and Civil 3D to develop accurate, organized, and detailed CAD drawings.
• Work closely with civil engineers and senior designers to turn project concepts into practical plans.
• Review and revise drawings to maintain quality, consistency, and project standards.
• Support multiple projects while meeting deadlines and contributing to efficient design workflows.

Pay: $50,000.00 - $75,000.00 per year

Location

Albuquerque, NM. This is a full-time, on-site position offering the opportunity to collaborate directly with our engineering and design team.

Note

Candidates must have at least 1+ years of civil CAD drafting or design experience and be available to work on-site in Albuquerque, NM. A Professional Engineer (PE) license and previous management experience are not required.
