Job summary

City of Lubbock is seeking a Custodial Supervisor to plan and oversee the setup, operation, and cleaning of the Civic Center and Auditorium/Coliseum. You will interview, train, and evaluate staff while ensuring timely, quality work.

The role requires a high school diploma or equivalent, 1–3 years custodial/building operations experience, and a valid driver’s license. A physical exam is required.

Qualifications

• Completion of a high school diploma or the equivalent with an additional 1–3 years experience in custodial work or building operations.
• Valid Current Driver's License.
• Physical Exam Required.

Responsibilities

• Plan, assign, and supervise the work of employees engaged in set-up, operation, and cleaning of Civic Center and Auditorium/Coliseum;
• Interview, select, train, evaluate, and discipline employees;
• Prepare work schedules and assign work to employees;
• Inspect work in progress and upon completion;
• Maintain inventory of equipment including tables, chairs, and portable staging;
• Supervise proper storage and maintenance of equipment;
• Identify equipment to be cleaned or repaired;
• Consult with others regarding event set-up needs;
• Perform related duties as directed.
