Job summary

New York City Department of Education, Office of Teacher Recruitment and Quality, seeks a Senior Teacher Staffing Support Coordinator to lead citywide teacher networking events and staff support for district schools. You will coordinate in-person and virtual events, provide access to candidate databases, and collaborate with school hiring managers and TRQ partners to improve staffing for high-need schools.

Reporting to the Teacher Staffing Strategy Manager, this role requires strong

Qualifications

BA and two years in community work or related duties.
HS degree and six years of related experience, or equivalent.
Experience in recruitment, communications, or related fields preferred.

Responsibilities

Lead planning and execution of citywide in-person and virtual teacher networking and hiring events, including strategies, timelines, outreach, registration, logistics, and follow-up.
Serve as primary liaison for school hiring managers, Borough/District Offices and stakeholders engaged in recruitment and staffing.
Co-develop strategies to connect schools with qualified teacher candidates using TRQ resources and databases.
Provide consultation and technical assistance to hiring managers on recruitment and staffing strategies.
Facilitate trainings and presentations for hiring managers and school stakeholders on recruitment processes.
