Job summary

City of Boston seeks a payroll analyst to lead analysis and implementation of Collective Bargaining Agreements, develop work plans, and build processes responsive to CBA implementation. The role includes planning, testing, and implementing patches and upgrades to time and labor and payroll systems.

The position supervises the City Payroll process weekly, maintains configuration tables, and liaises with Labor Relations for payroll deductions and updates.

Qualifications

• Bachelor's degree in Business or another related field is strongly preferred.
• 4+ years of full-time or equivalent payroll experience.
• Demonstrated ability to exercise good judgment and attention to detail.

Responsibilities

• Supervises and executes the City payroll process weekly.
• Maintains and updates payroll configuration tables.
• Monitors high-volume transaction load processing.
• Directs time and labor/payroll specialists citywide and ensures compliance with rules.
• Plans and coordinates audits and upgrades to PeopleSoft payroll systems.
