Job summary

New York City Office of Technology & Innovation (OTI) seeks an IT Project Specialist to lead and coordinate citywide cybersecurity programs, managing multi‑agency initiatives in a complex, multi‑year portfolio.

You will work with Security Sciences, stakeholders, and vendors to develop plans, dashboards, and reporting, ensuring timely delivery and governance across engineering, operations, and customer-facing applications in a 24/7 environment.

Qualifications

Requires a baccalaureate degree in a related field and several years of full-time experience in project management or cybersecurity programs.
Experience managing multi-agency government projects and defining governance structures.
Demonstrated ability to develop and track budgets, schedules, and performance metrics.
Proven capability to create reports and dashboards for executive leadership.

Responsibilities

Coordinate with Security Sciences and vendors to align with legal, contracting, finance, and communications teams.
Manage delivery of multiple projects across engineering, operations, and customer-facing apps.
Maintain and update Salesforce domain for interrelated projects.
Support creation of a centralized PMO structure for reporting and dashboards.
Develop reporting and dashboarding strategies for executive leadership use.
Translate leadership vision into actionable implementation plans.
Lead concurrent workstreams, meetings, minutes, and action tracking.
Design new workflows and processes across the division and agency.
Oversee Proofs-of-Concept/Value trials and risk/cost analyses.
Coordinate end-to-end service or product delivery to customers.
Provide weekly/monthly project metrics to stakeholders and leadership.
