Job summary

City of Victoria TX is seeking a Solid Waste Driver under general supervision to operate a rear loader truck on established routes to collect solid waste. Qualifications include a High school diploma or GED and two years of driving experience, or an equivalent combination; Texas Class B license with Air Brake endorsement (or obtain within six months).

This non-exempt, outdoor role requires safe driving and daily paperwork; benefits include health, dental and vision insurance, TMRS with 2:1 City

Qualifications

• High school diploma or GED or equivalent required.
• Two years of driving experience or equivalent education/training.
• Texas Class B license with Air Brake endorsement or ability to obtain within six months.

Responsibilities

• Follow assigned route to collect solid waste.
• Operate a rear loader vehicle.
• Identify non-compliant receptacles and tag/out of service carts.
• Complete daily paperwork and maintain safety.
