Job summary

City of Fulton seeks a street maintenance worker responsible for culvert repairs, snow removal, and general street upkeep. The job requires operating heavy equipment, maintaining safety standards, and working on-call as scheduled.

Responsibilities include asphalt work, concrete repair support, and assisting with maintenance programs. Candidates should be at least 18, pass drug tests, and hold a valid driver’s license with potential to obtain a Class B CDL within 6 months.

Qualifications

• Must be at least 18 years old.
• Must pass pre-employment drug testing and periodic testing as required by law.
• No felony convictions.

Responsibilities

• Assist culvert repairs, clear ditches, snow removal and salt distribution.
• Operate tools and equipment safely and in accordance with procedures.
• Maintain on-call status and follow assigned schedules with professionalism.
• Be aware of equipment use and safety practices, ensuring compliance.
• Assist in operating equipment and in preventative/corrective maintenance programs.
• Rake, roll and smooth asphalt, ensuring proper safety and material quantities.
• Assist concrete repair projects, including forms, bedrock, and saw grooves.
• Complete cleanup and shutdown activities for projects and assist others as needed.
