Mississippi Department of Employment Security is seeking personnel to perform essential duties related to street and alley maintenance, including seasonal operations and support on city property. The role requires operating equipment, performing patching and sealing tasks, and assisting with snow removal.

Applicants must have or obtain a valid state Class B CDL, must be a U.S. citizen, and maintain good character and industrious habits. Other duties as assigned may follow.

Qualificações

• Must possess, or be able to obtain by time of hire a valid state Class B Commercial Driver's License (CDL) without record of suspension or revocation in any state.
• Must not have been convicted of any felony convictions or other disqualifying serious misdemeanors or possess any other disqualifying criminal history.
• Must be U.S. Citizen. Must be of good moral character and temperament, and possess industrious habits.

Responsabilidades

• Performs a wide variety of routing and seasonal duties to assist in the maintenance of streets and alleys and may do work in and on other City owned property.
• Checks equipment to ensure proper levels of fuel, lubricants, tires, tire pressure, and for unusual wear of equipment.
• Assists in patching and sealing streets and concrete work.
• Cleans garage area and washes trucks and equipment.
• Assist spreading salt and in clearing snow and ice from roads.
• Uses simple hand tools to prepare job site.
• Other duties as assigned.
