Job summary

Base is seeking a City Host to run events in your city, from casual socials to orientations and seasonal gatherings. You’ll arrive early, set the room, greet Members by name, and ensure the space feels right for the evening’s group.

You’ll manage 2-hour events, handle set-up and teardown, and adapt formats while maintaining a consistent standard. This role requires a love of cities, sociability, and reliability in a fast-paced hospitality environment.

Qualifications

• Experience in hospitality, fine dining, theater, or event production.
• Has run real rooms for discerning people.
• Able to manage events from setup to teardown.

Responsibilities

• Own the room from open to close, set space and ambience.
• Welcome Members by name at the door.
• Work the room, manage energy, transitions, and close with intention.
• Run experiences, socials, orientations, dinners, and seasonal events.
• Address issues like a crooked chair, dim corner, or awkward seam in the music.
• Tear down and leave venues better than you found them.
