Job summary

The City of Westminster is seeking an Electrician II/III to perform skilled electrical work in City facilities, including installation, inspection, maintenance, repair and testing of electrical systems. The role requires a Colorado Journeyman or Master Electrician license depending on level, along with a valid driver license and ability to work overtime, weekends, and be on-call for emergencies.

The position offers a competitive salary range and a multilingual stipend program.

Qualifications

• High school diploma or GED is required.
• Five+ years of electrical system repair and maintenance experience.
• Valid CO (or reciprocal) Journeyman Electrician license required; Master Electrician license preferred for III.
• Must possess a valid driver license and safe driving record; CJIS background check and fingerprinting required.
• Background check, drug screen and pre-employment requirements apply; must be legally entitled to work in the United States.

Responsibilities

• Read and interpret electrical plans; ensure compliance with codes and ordinances.
• Supervise maintenance staff and coordinate city facilities electrical work.
• Operate and test emergency generators, fire alarm panels, security systems and related equipment.
• Maintain records, reports and parts inventory; manage outside contractors as needed.
