Job summary

Fort Wayne Community Schools seeks a City Connects Coordinator for a temporary school-year assignment ending June 2028. The role establishes and leads a Student Support team to identify and address each child's strengths and developmental needs.

The ideal candidate holds a Master's in School Counseling or Social Work, with preference for an LCSW/LICSW, and experience in schools. Strong collaboration and data-driven problem solving are essential.

Qualifications

• Master’s degree in School Counseling or Social Work.
• Licensed Clinical Social Worker (LCSW/LICSW) preferred.
• Experience working in a school environment.
• Evidence of culturally competent practices.
• Ability to work collaboratively with diverse staff, students and families.
• Spanish language skills preferred.
• Experience with data-guided practice preferred.

Responsibilities

• Connect students to prevention, early intervention and services addressing development.
• Develop and enhance community partnerships with agencies to meet student and family needs.
• Collaborate with teachers to implement the City Connects model.
• Promote the City Connects model of student support to school communities and agencies.
• Engage families and caregivers to support education and development.
• Collect data on the implementation of the model and service delivery.

Education

Master’s degree in School Counseling or Social Work

Experience in school environment

Second language: Spanish preferred
