Job summary

City of Grand Forks is hiring City Bus Operators to safely transport passengers along designated routes according to a timetable. A current CDL with passenger endorsement is required, with a CDL training program available; non-CDL hires start at $20.35 per hour until CDL is obtained.

Eligible for a bonus of up to $2,000. Responsibilities include providing excellent customer service, assisting disabled passengers, collecting fares, and reporting any issues to the Transportation Operations

Qualifications

• Two years of experience operating a public transit bus.
• Current CDL with passenger endorsement or ability to obtain within 60 days.

Responsibilities

• Transport passengers safely on designated transit routes.
• Provide information on maps, schedules, routes, and transfers to passengers, including disabled.
• Operate bus on schedule and announce stops.
• Perform pre-trip checks and report issues to supervisor.
