Job summary

Evolution Hospitality is seeking a Maintenance Engineer for The Citizen Hotel, Autograph Collection in Sacramento. You will be the go-to fixer, maintaining HVAC, plumbing, electrical and mechanical systems to keep guests safe and comfortable.

Bring hands-on skills, attention to detail, and teamwork to handle preventive maintenance, urgent repairs, and safety procedures. This full-time role offers competitive benefits and daily pay options.

Qualifications

• High School diploma or equivalent required.
• Experience in hotel maintenance or a related field preferred.
• Trade licenses (plumbing, electrical, HVAC, carpentry) desirable.

Responsibilities

• Technical & Preventive Maintenance: inspect, repair, and tune plumbing, HVAC, electrical and other hotel systems; perform preventive maintenance in guest rooms and public areas; handle minor carpentry and painting.
• Quick-Fix Hero: respond to equipment issues, leaks, power outages and emergencies with safety first.
• Safety Superpowers: move heavy objects, climb ladders, follow OSHA guidelines and keep work areas clean and secure.

KEY SKILLS/RESPONSIBILITIES

• Technical & Preventive Maintenance Powerhouse: Take charge of daily inspections, repairs, and fine‑tuning across our hotel’s plumbing, HVAC, electrical, and other systems—catching small issues before they become big ones. Perform preventive maintenance in guest rooms, common spaces, and on essential equipment (from refrigerators to ice machines), keeping everything running smoothly for an exceptional guest experience. Handle minor carpentry, painting, and furniture repairs to ensure our hotel remains both beautiful and fully operational.
• Quick-Fix Hero: Jump into action to solve equipment hiccups, leaks, and those mysterious electrical issues—no problem too puzzling! Tackle emergencies like fire alarms and power outages with cool confidence, always putting guest safety front and center.
• Safety Superpowers: Move objects over 50 lbs., scale ladders, and power through physically demanding tasks with strength and stamina. Follow OSHA safety guidelines when wielding tools, handling chemicals, and operating machinery—safety first, always! Keep work areas spotless and safe, with proper storage for tools and hazardous materials to protect everyone.

EDUCATION & EXPERIENCE

• High School diploma or equivalent required.
• Experience in hotel maintenance or a related field preferred.
• Trade license (plumbing, electrical, HVAC, carpentry) is highly desirable.
• Valid driver's license required, with an acceptable Motor Vehicle Record (MVR).
