Job summary

Jet Linx in Houston is seeking a full-time Second in Command on the Citation XLS+ to deliver safe, efficient and exceptional flight experiences from our Houston base. You will support CFR Part 91 and Part 135 operations with sound judgement and adherence to regulations and company procedures.

Key duties include assisting the PIC in safe operations, managing duty/rest times, timely communication, maintaining EFB hardware and publications, and keeping a current First-Class Medical.

Qualifications

• Bachelor’s degree or equivalent work experience.
• FAA PRD review with System Chief Pilot.
• Able to obtain ATP.
• First-Class Medical certificate.
• Passport with travel eligibility.
• FCC Restricted Radiotelephone Operator Permit.
• U.S. Driver's license.
• Eligibility to work in the United States.

Responsibilities

• Assist the PIC in safe, compliant operation of the Citation XLS+ on Part 91/135 missions.
• Manage duty, flight, and rest times in compliance with CFRs and company policies.
• Maintain clear, timely communication on standby status, trip notifications, position calls, and pre-/post-flight reports.
• Manage and maintain EFB hardware/apps; ensure charts, publications, and manuals are current.

Role Overview

Join Jet Linx as a full-time Second in Command on the Citation XLS+ and help deliver safe, efficient, and exceptional flight experiences out of our Houston base. You'll support both CFR Part 91 and Part 135 operations, exercising sound judgment, proactive decision-making, and unwavering adherence to Federal Aviation Regulations and company procedures.

Key Responsibilities

• Assist the PIC in the safe, compliant, and efficient operation of the Citation XLS+ on Part 91/135 missions.
• Manage duty, flight, and rest times in full compliance with company policies and applicable CFRs.
• Maintain clear, timely communication on standby status, trip notifications, position calls, and pre-/post-flight reports.
• Manage and maintain EFB hardware/apps; ensure charts, publications, and company manuals are current.
• Uphold a current first-class medical and readiness for all assigned flying, including nights, weekends, and holidays.
• Represent Jet Linx core values in all internal and external interactions.

What You’ll Bring

• Flight time minimums: 1,500 hours total time; 500 hours PIC; 500 hours multi-engine; 100 hours turbine; 150 hours instrument.
• Initial or recurrent Part 142 training in type within the last 24 months (preferred).
• Meets requirements to obtain an ATP; holds a current First-Class Medical.
• Valid passport with unrestricted ability to travel to Canada and Caribbean countries.
• Ability to obtain a U.S. driver’s license and provide proof of eligibility to work in the United States.
• FCC Restricted Radiotelephone Operator Permit.
• Bachelor’s degree or equivalent work experience.
• Successful completion of an FAA Pilot Records Database (PRD) review with a System Chief Pilot.
• Ability to frequently lift and move up to 50 lbs; comfortable working in and around aircraft/terminals.

Base, Coverage & Schedule

• Base: Houston, TX
• Callout Area: Must reside in or be willing to relocate within a two-hour callout of the Houston base.
• Schedule: Availability required for nights, weekends, and holidays.

Safety & Compliance

• Pre-employment drug screen and participation in random drug and alcohol testing (including marijuana, cocaine, opiates, PCP, and amphetamines) for safety-sensitive functions.
• Ongoing compliance with FAA, company policies, and all applicable regulations.

Pay & Benefits

• Base Salary: $89,000 – $125,000 annually (commensurate with location, aircraft size, education, training, and experience).
