Job summary

Aviation Advisor, Inc. seeks an experienced Captain to safely execute flights of the Citation CJ4, asserting command and upholding regulatory and company SOP standards.

You will be the primary company representative to passengers, ensuring professionalism, safety, and efficient operations. The role requires PIC time, ATP qualifications, First Class Medical, and the ability to pass drug tests and TSA screenings.

Qualifications

• ATP license required or ATP written acceptable
• Flight operations experience and PIC background preferred
• Proficient in aviation software and documentation standards

Responsibilities

• Act as Pilot in Command (PIC)
• Adhere to schedules and directives governing aircraft operation
• Conduct preflight inspections and prepare or review flight plans
• Study weather conditions for destinations, en route, alternate airports, and departure points
• Ensure aircraft is well-maintained and provisioned for passenger safety and comfort
• Review and calculate weight and balance, fuel burn, and aircraft performance
• Utilize checklists as per Company SOPs
• Supervise the first officer for smooth and efficient operation
• Coordinate the functioning of all assigned crew members
• Make decisions related to flight start, delay, cancellation, or deviation from planned routes based on operating conditions
• Remain available to crew and departmental staff during duty hours via company channels
• Work nonstandard schedules, including weekends and holidays
• Demonstrate strong customer service skills, attention to detail, and adaptability

Job description

As the Captain for the Citation CJ4 aircraft, you will be entrusted with the safe execution of flights, holding the ultimate authority in the aircraft’s operation. Your primary responsibilities include ensuring compliance with federal, state, local, and foreign regulations, as well as adhering to company policies and procedures outlined in the operations manual. Captains play a crucial role as the company’s prominent representative to passengers, requiring the highest level of professionalism while ensuring the efficiency and safety of operations. This position reports directly to the Chief Pilot. Operations are conducted under FAR Part 91 and 135.

3,000 Total Flight Hours

1,500 PIC Time

200 Hours of Multi-Engine Time

ATP or ATP Written

KEY JOB FUNCTIONS

Pilot Qualifications

Multi-Engine Land Airline Transport Pilots License

Current First Class Medical Certificate

Proficient in radiotelephone communications

Ability to pass drug tests, TSA background screenings, and obtain ID badge and ramp driving privileges

Valid passport and driver’s license

Reside within a two-hour personal commute time from KARR

High School Diploma required; Bachelor’s degree preferred

Proficiency in business software: MS Word, Excel, Outlook
