Job summary

VulcanForms Inc. seeks a Director of Information Security (CISO) to build and lead our security program as we scale our digital manufacturing infrastructure in Devens, MA.

You will establish strategy, policies, and controls protecting IP, production systems, and customer data while enabling fast growth. This hands-on founding role requires building governance, hiring a team, and partnering with IT, engineering, manufacturing, and legal to embed security across the organization.

Qualifications

• Bachelor’s degree or equivalent hands-on experience in information security.
• 10+ years of information security experience, including 5+ years in a senior leadership role.
• CISSP certification is required.
• Experience with CMMC, NIST 800-171, and ITAR/EAR in manufacturing/defense/aerospace.
• Strong knowledge of cloud security (AWS/Azure) and network security.
• Experience securing OT/industrial environments.

Responsibilities

• Build and lead the information security program from the ground up.
• Own compliance and certification efforts for CMMC, NIST 800-171, and ITAR/EAR.
• Design and implement security policies, standards, and controls for IT/OT.
• Lead risk assessments and remediation planning.
• Establish incident response, business continuity, and disaster recovery plans.
• Partner with IT, software, and manufacturing to secure systems.
• Manage security tooling and vendor relationships.
• Develop security awareness and insider-risk programs.
• Recruit, hire, and grow the security team.
• Serve as primary contact for customer security questionnaires and audits.
• Report security posture and risk to executives and the board.
