Job summary

VulcanForms Inc. is seeking a Director of Information Security (CISO) to build and lead our security program as we scale our digital manufacturing infrastructure.

You will establish strategy, policies, and controls to protect intellectual property, production systems, and customer data while enabling rapid growth. You will own governance, hire and develop a team, and partner with IT, engineering, manufacturing, and legal to embed security across VulcanForms’ printers and factories.

Qualifications

• Bachelor's degree or equivalent hands-on experience in information security.
• 10+ years of progressive information security experience including 5+ years in a senior security leadership role.
• CISSP certification required.
• Direct experience with CMMC, NIST 800-171, and ITAR/EAR in manufacturing/defense/aerospace.
• Strong knowledge of cloud security (AWS/Azure), network security, IAM, and endpoint protection.
• Experience securing OT/industrial environments and integrating IT/OT security.

Responsibilities

• Build and lead the information security program as the company scales.
• Own compliance and certification efforts (CMMC, NIST 800-171, ITAR/EAR).
• Design and implement security policies, standards, and controls across IT/OT.
• Lead risk assessments and remediation roadmaps.
• Establish incident response, business continuity, and disaster recovery plans.
• Partner with IT, software, and manufacturing teams to secure production systems.
• Manage security tooling (SIEM, IAM, EDR) and vendor relations.
• Develop security awareness training and insider-risk programs.
• Recruit and develop the security team; report to executives and board.
