Job summary

Genuine Parts Company in Birmingham, AL seeks a Vice President and Chief Information Security Officer to lead the global information security program, align with business goals, and drive cyber risk strategies.

This executive will partner with senior management to manage incidents, oversee SOX/ITGC alignment, third-party risk, and governance, and report to the board on security posture and resilience.

Qualifications

• Bachelor’s degree and 15+ years of related experience in a publicly traded company.
• Proven ability to translate cyber risk into business decisions and budgets.

Responsibilities

• Establishes and executes strategic direction of ISS, IAM, Cyber Defense, and GRC with leadership.
• Matures enterprise ISS operating model including governance, architecture, data protection, and incident response.
• Defines business risk associated with security initiatives and guides mitigations.
• Leads SEC cybersecurity disclosure readiness and board reporting cadence.
• Develops and tests enterprise cyber resilience capabilities, including ransomware readiness and DR alignment.
