Job summary

The Aerospace Corporation is seeking talent to support cislunar mission design and analysis within the Emerging Missions Flight Dynamics department. You will perform high-fidelity orbital mechanics, trajectory optimization, and multi-objective analysis while collaborating with teams to deliver robust space solutions.

Qualifications include a Master’s in Aerospace engineering (or near completion), 0–1 year experience, and programming in C/C++, Python, or MATLAB.

Qualifications

• Master’s degree in Aerospace engineering (pursuing or conferred within last 12 months).
• 0–1 year industry experience.
• Experience in space mission analysis, astrodynamics, or trajectory design.
• Programming in C, C++, Python, Fortran, or MATLAB.
• Willingness to travel domestically ~10% and ability to obtain security clearance.

Responsibilities

• Provide expert support for cislunar mission design and analysis.
• Develop high-fidelity orbital mechanics, trajectory design, and optimization.
• Collaborate with engineers to deliver integrated space system solutions.
• Utilize tools like ASSET, SNOPT, GMAT, CasADi to augment capabilities.
• Contribute to CONOPS, TTPs, and operational constraint integration.
• Engage in research and development of new flight dynamics tools.
