Job summary

Progressive in Portland, OR seeks a senior technical lead to act as the owner's representative for Cisco-led network modernization projects. You will provide oversight during solution design workshops, review requirements and architecture, and ensure vendor solutions meet operational needs.

You will collaborate across Cybersecurity, Network, Server, Engineering Support and Operations through the lifecycle, and oversee testing and QA plans.

Qualifications

• Strong hands-on experience with Cisco networking technologies and infrastructure.
• Experience reviewing and validating network solution designs, requirements, and technical documentation.
• Experience providing technical oversight and guidance to third-party vendors and implementation partners.
• Experience supporting network upgrades, hardware refreshes, and infrastructure modernization projects.
• Strong understanding of network testing, quality assurance, and system validation processes.
• Experience managing change control, risk management, escalations, and issue resolution.
• Ability to work effectively across technical and operational organizations.
• Strong communication skills with the ability to represent stakeholder interests during vendor engagements.

Responsibilities

• Act as the owner's technical representative for Cisco-led network modernization and upgrade projects.
• Provide technical oversight and input during solution design workshops and project meetings.
• Review and validate solution requirements, network architecture, and design documentation.
• Ensure vendor-delivered solutions meet operational and technical requirements.
• Collaborate with Cybersecurity, Network, Server, Engineering Support, and Operations teams throughout the project lifecycle.
• Review, approve, and oversee testing activities, including QA processes, test plans, and test results.
• Support change management, risk management, issue resolution, and project escalations.
• Monitor vendor implementation activities and ensure successful execution of project deliverables.
• Partner with field personnel and operational teams to support deployment and integration efforts.
• Participate in project kick off, onboarding, and implementation activities.
