Job summary

Gravity IT Resources is seeking a Telecom Data Network Engineer to support the implementation, modernization, and lifecycle management of critical network infrastructure in Florida. The role emphasizes Cisco enterprise routing and switching, SD‑WAN, wireless, and security for substations, offices, and key sites.

The successful candidate will configure, test, troubleshoot, and document reliable network solutions in a large, process‑driven environment.

Qualifications

High school diploma or GED provided
Experience configuring or supporting Cisco routers/switches
Solid understanding of IPv4, subnetting, TCP/IP, VLANs, STP, and link aggregation
Working knowledge of OSPF and BGP and enterprise WAN concepts
Ability to troubleshoot Layer 2/3 connectivity with a structured approach
Experience documenting technical designs and network diagrams
Willingness to work outside normal hours as needed
Strong written, verbal, and teamwork skills
Experience with Jira and Agile methodologies is a plus
Desirable: Cisco CCNA/CCNP Enterprise or Security

Responsibilities

Configure, implement, test, and support Cisco routers/switches and related infrastructure
Deploy and support Cisco Catalyst SD‑WAN solutions and WAN connectivity
Troubleshoot routing, switching, SD‑WAN, firewall, and WAN issues
Ensure network resiliency, segmentation, QoS, and high availability
Prepare installation/testing plans, rollback procedures, and docs
Create/download network diagrams and rack elevations in Visio
Maintain monitoring, logging, asset records, and OPS docs
Coordinate circuits with carriers and vendors
Collaborate across engineering, security, operations, and field teams
Follow change management, including validation and approvals
