Job summary

DGR Systems in Tampa, FL is seeking a Senior Network Engineer to lead enterprise network architecture, design, and implementation. This client-facing role combines pre- and post-sales duties with hands-on engineering leadership.

The ideal candidate has 5+ years in networking, Fortinet expertise, and relevant certifications, and will design, configure, and troubleshoot SD-WAN, VPN, VLANs, and security architectures while mentoring peers.

Qualifications

• Minimum of 5 years of experience with network solutions.
• Minimum of 5 years of experience with network switches, firewalls, and wireless access points.
• Fortinet FCSS/FCP/NSE 4-8 certifications required; Cisco/Juniper/Palo Alto/Aruba certifications preferred.
• Strong understanding of routing protocols and network technologies (eBGP, iBGP, OSPF, IPSEC, trace route, Netflow).
• Proficiency in designing, configuring, and managing enterprise-grade firewall solutions and security architectures.

Responsibilities

• Lead technical discussions to translate business requirements into network design and BOMs.
• Design, implement and transition firewalls, switches, access points, and other network solutions.
• Troubleshoot LAN/WAN, SD‑WAN, routing, VPN, firewall, and VoIP equipment, including Fortinet devices.
• Develop and maintain network deliverables: assessments, capacity planning, design documents, and scripts.
• Engage in peer reviews to improve deliverables and perform root-cause analysis of outages.
