Job summary

Peraton seeks an experienced CIRT Tier 2 Analyst to join the Federal Strategic Cyber Mission program in Beltsville, MD. The role requires analyzing and responding to cyber incidents, monitoring SIEM/EDR and SOAR platforms, and coordinating with DHS/CISA teams. Work hours are mid shift, 22:00–06:00 EST, Sunday through Thursday.

Qualifications

• Bachelor's degree or equivalent; 2 years of relevant experience required.
• Must obtain or currently hold one of listed security certifications prior to start date.
• Experience in Incident Response lifecycle and SOAR ticketing systems.
• Familiarity with SIEM platforms and EDR tools; US citizenship and active clearance required.

Responsibilities

• Detect, classify, and report cyber events and incidents.
• Perform in-depth analysis of tier 1 triage in a 24x7x365 environment.
• Analyze logs from multiple sources to identify and remediate threats.
• Characterize network traffic to identify anomalies and threats.
• Collaborate with State/other agencies to respond to incidents.
