Responsibilities

• Assist with daily circulation desk operations, including opening and closing procedures.
• Check materials in and out and assist patrons with loan requests.
• Shelve books, magazines, and other library materials accurately.
• Organize and straighten shelves to maintain a clean and orderly library.
• Help patrons locate books, resources, and information using the electronic catalog system.
• Provide basic computer, printing, and technology assistance to library visitors.
• Inspect materials for damage and ensure proper placement within the collection.
• Catalog and maintain magazines and other library resources.
• Create promotional materials such as flyers, bookmarks, and display items.
• Assist with library programs, story times, book clubs, craft activities, and special events.
• Help develop monthly event calendars and branch programming schedules.
• Promote library services within the community by distributing informational materials.
• Notify management of supply and purchasing needs.
• Perform other duties as assigned

• Frequently lift and carry up to 25 pounds

• Comfortable working in an indoor environment with dust, noise, humidity, and varying ventilation conditions
